The (Fun) Food Composter

Part 1: Drawing key lessons

• The team has done very well in researching and found many current solutions to the food waste problem.

• It would have been great to see how the students could combine some concepts from those existing solutions into their prototype.

• The project could be improved if students could explain why their prototype makes food composting 'fun'.

Part 2: Exploring Possibilities

The team can think about where their compost bin could be placed and where or who will use the compost. The project could be further expanded to help promote food composting among students within the school.

• How can the 'fun' food composter teach fellow students about composting and encourage them to leave less food waste?
