The Sundowner

Part 1: Drawing key lessons

• Students have identified a very unique problem affecting the lives of these patients that may not be able to speak up for themselves.

• The team has put in a lot of effort to research and understand the needs of their target audience and were able to translate their ideas into a functioning prototype

Part 2: Exploring Possibilities

• The sundowner has many features to help calm the patients but it could be better to find evidence that one or a few of the features actually help patients sleep. i.e. Dementia patients may not respond well to visual cues etc.

• This way the team can focus their efforts just the few features that actually matter.
