Part 1: Drawing key lessons

The strengths of this proposed solution are manifold. Freezer curtains prevent the commuters at the bus stop from getting wet, are light, easy to use, easy to walk through and translucent to view the oncoming buses.

An area of improvement will be to ensure the curtains are retracted back to their original positions. May need motion sensors to retract after the commuters have gone up the buses.

Part 2: Exploring Possibilities

This solution is taken from the cold supply chain, where these curtains are used to separate working environments where one section is a refrigerated area while the other is not. Examples of these are used in hospitals and supermarkets.

Related problems to explore in the future could be flooding/ponding at bus-stops or roads.
