The students have put a great amount of effort into experimenting with the different prototypes. They understood the principle of lowering the CG would help prevent the stroller from toppling over hence it will prevent the baby/toddler from accidental fall. By lowering some of the added mass, it will improve the overall stability of the stroller.
The proposed solution did not mention if the proposed solution was to augment onto the existing stroller or create a total new stroller design. If it is a created attachment, it would be a good option to enhance the safety for existing stroller user.
Current solutions to learn from is a lifting crane uses extension legs to increase the base area of the load CG to stabilize itself.
What if the power for the intelligent system broke and the ‘mass’ may not be lower to adjust the CG. How about a mechanical spring-loaded compartment to store additional stuff that it will lower itself when more items are placed in it and hence ‘automatically’ adjust the overall CG to stabilize the stroller.
