About DSA-JC
Direct School Admission-Junior College (DSA-JC) allows students to apply to a DSA-JC before taking the GCE O-Level examinations.
The students can apply based on their talent in either academic or non-academic areas such as sports, CCAs, leadership and other areas of expertise, that may not be demonstrated at the O-Level examinations.
DSA-JC Talent Areas
1) Refer to participating schools’ websites for specific details as each school’s requirements varies
2) Some possible talent areas: -
Sports (e.g. Top 4 finish in zonal inter-school competitions) OR
Performing Arts (e.g. SYF participation and awards received) OR
Leadership* (e.g. school-wide leadership or record of effective leadership) OR
Debate (e.g. national or zonal competitions) OR
Academic (e.g. science research, mathematical Olympiads or proficiency/achievements in art/music/languages)
Selection criteria may vary across JCs. For example, the level of prior experience required for sports may differ from one JC to another. Students are strongly encouraged to research carefully and prepare their applications thoroughly before applying.
DSA-JC Interview
Interviews and/or Selection trials may be conducted (Trials and Auditions are conducted either In-Person or Online; refer to participating JC for details)
Some schools may require 2 rounds of interviews: 1 individual and 1 group

Eligibility Criteria of L1R5 ≤ 20 &
Requirements on Core Subjects
2) The student must commit to their chosen school for the duration of the programme.
3) It is with the intention to develop your talent through the talent development programme offered by your school of choice.
