Welcome to Connect@Yuhua, the newly refurbished library space at Yuhua Secondary School! As we step into 2024, our Yuhuans have every reason to explore and enjoy this vibrant, reimagined space.

A Collaborative Journey of Transformation

Connect@Yuhua is the result of years of engagement, brainstorming, and planning by a dedicated task force of school leaders, teachers, and students. This transformation reflects our commitment to student agency. Just as Yuhuans previously reimagined our canteen in 2022, they shared their dreams for an ideal library during our annual iSay Town Hall.

A Student-Centric Hub for 21st Century Learning

Drawing on 21st Century Competencies and the principles of design thinking, our library goes beyond the traditional concept of a library. Connect@Yuhua is a student-centric hub designed to promote collaboration, self-directed learning and the seeding of Yuhua's signature 'care-connect-contribute'.

Versatile Learning Rooms: Two learning rooms of different sizes cater to diverse group activities, accommodating anywhere from 16 to 60 students

Amphitheatre-Style Multi-Purpose Space: An open space designed for talks, exhibitions, or just a place for Yuhuans to connect and unwind after a busy school day.

Cozy Work Pods: We’ve introduced three sound-proof Work Pods—perfect for focused discussions, quiet consultations, or online meetings.

A Space Designed to Nurture a Culture of Collaboration

Beyond just bookshelves, our revamped library features:

Larger study booths for collaborative projects.
A welcoming co-working table to encourage peer learning.
An expansive sofa seating area where students can relax, read, and engage in meaningful conversations.
