Q: Do I need to get a lanyard/ID tag for my child?
There is no need to prepare one yourself. You will receive one with your child’s name on it in the Orientation Welcome Pack from the school. Please fill in the other important details on the ID tag.
Q: When will we know the class timetable?
Class timetable will be issued within the first week of school.
Q: What is the price range for the food sold in the canteen?
The stalls in the canteen serve set meals. Set meals include servings of fruits and vegetables. The set meal prices range from $2.00 - $3.00.
There are snacks (e.g. steamed buns, sandwiches) from $0.70 onwards. Please click HERE to find out more about the food sold at each stall.
Q: When will P1 booklist be released?
You will receive the booklist in the Welcome Pack. If some books are not made available for purchase yet, the bookshop vendor will be able to advise you accordingly.
Q: How many sets of school uniform and PE attire should I purchase for my child?
Your child will need at least 1 set of school uniform and 3 sets of PE attire. Students will put on their PE attire on the days where they have PE and PAL lessons.
Q: What are the items in the Orientation Welcome pack?
Your child will be receiving a Tote bag which can be used as a recess bag. You will find your child's lanyard & ID, name tag, information booklet for P1 Parents, subject handbooks, and brochures in the Welcome Pack.
Q: When will I get the Orientation Welcome pack?
You will receive the Welcome pack when you attend the Orientation Day. If you are not able to, you may call the school office after 2 Nov to arrange for a day/time for collection.
Q: What does my child need to bring on the first day of school?
Your child will only need to bring the following items: Lanyard with ID tag (to put on), pocket money or lunch box, a water bottle, a pencil case, colour pencils and an item for your child to introduce himself/herself in class. Please refer to the Information Booklet for more details. .
Q: What will my child be doing on the first week of school?
The first week of school is an important part of your child's transition to school. Activities are planned to orientate your child to significant features of the new school environment. They will also become familiar with school routines and expectations. During this time, your child will learn how to make friends and find their way around the school.
Q: What does my child need to bring in the first week of school?
There is a checklist in your Welcome Pack on what to bring in the first week of school. Please refer to the Information Booklet for more details.
Q: For the first week of school, will there be staff on duty to assist my child in buying food if he/she needs help?
On the first day of school, staff will be available to help your child during recess. In the following days, your child will be paired with a P4 buddy as part of the P1/P4 Buddy Programme. Staff will also be there to guide your child when needed.
Q: Can a P4 sibling be assigned as my child’s buddy?
The buddy programme is an opportunity for your child to know and make friends with other students. By having a non-sibling buddy, your child will have an unique experience. He/she will also have one more senior student to approach for help since P1 and P4 students share the same recess.
Q: Can we see our children from afar during recess?
Yes, only 1 parent is allowed to enter the school on the first day. You will get to see your child from afar during his/her recess time.
Q: As the recess timing in the first week of school seems early, I am worried my child will get hungry.
Due to an earlier recess timing scheduled in Week 1, there will be a snack break catered for P1 students in the later morning. The school will provide buns for your child. After the first week, your child will be having his/her recess from 1030-1100.
Q: Can the students bring their own food for recess?
Yes, students are allowed to bring home prepared food for recess, and they can consume the food at the canteen.
Q: Where should parents drop off the child in the morning?
Parents should lead their child to the main school gate, at the security post. If driving in, you may drop off your child at the porch area.
Q: How will my child be dismissed if he/she takes the school bus?
There is a waiting area for students taking the school bus in the concourse. They will proceed to the waiting area upon dismissal while the teacher will lead the rest of the students out to the school gate. Please ensure your child knows which bus number he/she belongs to.
Q: Are school buses from private after-school care centers allowed to enter into the school to pick up the students as well?
Private school buses not contracted by the school will not be able to enter the school premises during dismissal time. Alternative arrangements should be made. We usually recommend that the child to be picked up at the designated void deck area by the private bus driver, who can park the vehicle at the public car park.
Q: How will my child be dismissed if he/she is attending after-school care?
There is a waiting area for students attending after-school care in the concourse. They will proceed to the waiting area upon dismissal while the teacher will lead the rest of the students out to the school gate.
Q: Will there be teachers waiting with students who are attending Student Care Centre (SCC)?
Teachers who are from the SCC will be at the waiting area to pick up students going to after-school care.
Q: May I know how to join the school bus and the bus route?

Q: For purchases of books, what types of payments are accepted in the bookstore?
For walk-in sales, the bookshop accepts Cash, PayLah!, PayNow .
Q: Will there be a WhatsApp or telegram for parents with class teachers for ease of communication?
The school does not require teachers to set up group chats with parents. You may contact teachers via email or through the school phone (Tel: 6563 7129).
Q: Are shoes with velcro straps allowed?
Yes. White, plain shoes with velcro straps are allowed.
Q: Can my child wear a smart watch?
Students are not allowed to bring or use digital or communication devices with capabilities to store information, video or images and/or to make and answer calls. Such devices include handphones, smart watches, tablets etc.
Q: Can my child bring a mobile phone to school?
Our school practices no-handphone/smartwatch policy. In case of emergency, you may contact your child through the school phone (Tel: 6563 7129).
