What are the most important things we learned?
What were some challenges we faced, and how did we overcome them?
What NPCC values have we demonstrated during this project? How else can we demonstrate these values in our lives?
What are the most important things we learned?
I learnt how to prepare for a presentation, and how to properly conduct myself during the presentation from the teacher officer's feedback after the sharing.
What were some challenges we faced, and how did we overcome them?
One of the challenges we faced was discussing the order of the slides. We didn't know how to arrange them in order not to confuse the audience on the day of the sharing, but we managed to get opinions from peers helping us to improve on that aspect.
What NPCC values have we demonstrated during this project? How else can we demonstrate these values in our lives?
We demonstrated dilligence, making ourselves look formal in front of an audience and not be immature.
What are the most important things we learned?
Through this project, I think the most important thing that we learned was communication skills and the importance of staying safe on the internet. Another equally important thing we learned during this project was presentation skills. Throughout the presentation, we needed to keep the audience engaged and interested in what we were saying.
What were some challenges we faced, and how did we overcome them?
While we were working on the project, there were a few arguments between us where we had differing opinions and misunderstandings. Apart from communication issues, our group also faced issues with meeting deadlines. This is partly due to the fact that we do not have good time management skills. Another such issue that we faced was not preparing enough for our presentation. We only rehearsed our presentation once before we had to present to the members of the public. We overcame these challenges by compromising with each other and making sure we finish our work even if it was due in a few hours.
What NPCC values have we demonstrated during this project? How else can we demonstrate these values in our lives?
During this project, we have demonstrated responsibility and resilience. We demonstrated them by being able to finish our work before the deadline even if there was only a bit of time left. We can demonstrate these values by not giving up when faced with a challenge and by not pushing the blame on other people when we do something wrong.
What are the most important things we learned?
We learned how to communicate with each other better and get to interact with the members of the public audience to spread the awareness of such crimes
What were some challenges we faced, and how did we overcome them?
There was some minor misconceptions amongst our group but this did not affect too much as it was resolve quickly due to a dry run before the actual presentation.
What NPCC values have we demonstrated during this project? How else can we demonstrate these values in our lives?
We demonstrated resilience as this was our first time presenting this and it was not easy to get participants and to prepare side to educate the public. Many hours of hard work was put into place to prepare and we were rewarded with the audience give us their attention and for taking their time.
What are the most important things we learned?
I think one of the most important things that we have learned throughout this project is how to work as a team, throughout this project, we had all contributed and utilized our strengths as individuals to put out the best project we could, though we had heated moments, moments of confusion and stress, we managed to encourage each other to overcome these obstacles while working as a team, it taught us an important lesson on how to lead ourselves better, as well as how to step up as leaders of a group. Personally, I had also picked up some useful information on how I can, as an individual, protect myself from scams, such as the utilization of the Scamshield app, and how, as an individual, I can play a role in protecting others, vulnerable or not, from such scams.
What were some challenges we faced, and how did we overcome them?
We faced many challenges throughout this project. During the preparation stage, some of us had trouble staying on task. However, thanks to the unrelenting support and seriousness of the other groupmates, we managed to pull ourselves together and focus on the task at hand. We also had trouble coming up with ideas for the presentation as we felt that it would be too generic, but we managed to overcome this by working as a team and sharing our sometimes radical ideas and working on them to distinguish ourselves from other groups. During the presentation, some of us were extremely nervous as we had a fear of public speaking. But thanks to the encouragement of our teammates, and a willingness and drive to put out the best presentation we could, we managed to overcome our fears and rise to the challenge, allowing us to complete the presentation with little to no hiccups.
What NPCC values have we demonstrated during this project? How else can we demonstrate these values in our lives?
As I had explained, we had demonstrated a great deal of teamwork during this project, allowing us to move forward as a team, through thick and thin. We had also demonstrated a great deal of resourcefulness, working hard to find different sources online and trying to come up with our own ideas to put out an, in a good way, a different type of presentation. Throughout this project, I feel that we have also shown discipline. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was harder for us to meet up as a group and a lot of our planning had to be done online, due to this, it was naturally much harder for us to stay on task, but we managed to focus on the task at hand, not letting our distractions get the better of us, allowing us to put out a project which I feel was done well.
What are the most important things we learned?
In this project many invaluable digital tips could be gained and I was successful in reaping these benefits.
Some of these essential tips that I learned are like what exactly are cyber crimes such as scams and internet fraud and how serious are they, how to identify such problems and report them to the authorities so that we can quickly counterattack such problems and how can we protect ourselves in such situations such as installing anti-virus software and updating our devices regularly. Most importantly, I have learned how to play my part in spreading awareness as a NPCC cadet and help others in such situation.
What were some challenges we faced, and how did we overcome them
During the project, there were many disagreements as each of my group members had a different opinion on how we should present the information in a factual but eye-catching way as well as how to provide good evidence in our presentation. Another problem was also juggling between this project and our studies. However, we took things step by step and tried to have an open-mindset and we tried to find common ground between each other and grow on them. We also try to dedicate some time to this project and therefore we were able to finish our project in time and provide a satisfactory result.
What NPCC values have we demonstrated during this project? How else can we demonstrate these values in our lives?
We demonstrated values such as discipline, integrity, respect, diligence, resilience and civic-consciousness. We can demonstrate these values in life in many ways such as having discipline to do productive activities for prolonged periods of time and having respect for others when they deserve it. We can also be diligent and resilient in our studies and CCA s that we can we give good results and provide good effort.
I can fully understand what the cadet(s) told me about the crime prevention message(s).
The crime prevention message(s) shared is very relevant.
