!! Why Law Matters Student Competition 2026
The Ministry of Law is inviting all Secondary 1–5 Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents to participate in the Why Law Matters Student Competition 2026, held in conjunction with SGLaw200, which commemorates 200 years of Singapore’s modern legal system.
What is the competition about?
Students are to create an A4 informational graphic or comic that illustrates how the Rule of Law improves our daily lives and contributes to a fair, safe and harmonious society. Entries may explore themes such as economic development, social harmony, public safety, national resilience or trust in public institutions.
Who can participate?
All Secondary 1–5 Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident students. Individual entries only.
When is the submission deadline?
30 June 2026 (Tuesday).
Why should you participate?
This is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of how laws shape our everyday lives, express your creativity, and showcase your ideas on a national platform. Winning entries may be featured at SGLaw200 events and attractive vouchers are available for prize winners.
