Home Based Learning

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Sembawang Secondary is committed to provide all students with quality learning experiences during scheduled Home-Based Learning (HBL) days. HBL days comprise a mix of curriculum coverage and student-initiated learning. 

Through intended HBL experience, students will:

• develop skills on organising and planning their learning (personal time-management) 

• learn to be independent and self-directed in pursuit of their learning

• manage and monitor their progress of learning (personal development and growth)

• learn to plan and acquire new skills/knowledge outside curriculum under the guidance of teachers through student-initiated learning
