The following are stories from our former DSA Students...
"I treasure the wonderful friendships I have formed with my choir mates as we went through the tough and challenging moments. We celebrate all sort of ‘wins’ – big or small – and always have a positive and supportive group that I can rely on. I’ve learnt that music has the power to connect and bring people together.
SACSS is an all-rounded and inclusive school that cares for its students. We also have a supportive learning environment and a vibrant school spirit cultivated through the many events like Sports Day and SAC Blaze. For students looking to develop their leadership skills, there is a clear leadership pathway, providing students with many opportunities and valuable experiences. At SACSS, we champion the values of service, respect, humility and love in Leadership."
"SACSS is such a welcoming and supportive community. When I first accepted the DSA offer, I feared that I would not have any friends as a number of the girls here in SACSS come from the affiliated primary schools. However, to my pleasant surprise, I received a warm reception into the school and felt that it was very easy to fit in. Our students are very supportive, and we can always count on one another in this SACSS family.
From the moment I joined the CCA, I have been opportunities to take part in many competitions and nurtured me to become a better Student Leader. From competitions such as the National School Games, I have learnt a lot, such as how to work under pressure and coping with the stress from competing."
"After joining the Modern Dance CCA, I have developed skills such as thinking out-of-the-box and learning how to express my thoughts and feelings more vividly through dance movement. SAC Modern Dance also provides exposure for dancers to experience various dance genres, such as contemporary, jazz, basics of ballet and sometimes hip-hop, in both technique and choreography.
In SACSS, there is a good balance between academics and the pursuit of other interests such as performing arts. The school allows us to blend and explore our various interests beyond our studies such as through the Drama Elective Programme in upper secondary. Another reason to choose SACSS is its friendly and welcoming ambience. Canossians have a unique bond which continues to strengthen as we keep each other in our daily prayers – one of the most special and endearing qualities of being in SACSS."
