Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to Regent Secondary School!

Congratulations to you and your child/ward on the successful completion of an important milestone of the educational journey.

This microsite will provide information on the Secondary One Registration Process as well as questions that you might have to prepare your child/ward for the first day of school.

1. How do I register my child/ward for Sec 1?

There is no need for students who have been posted to Regent Secondary School to report physically to the school the next day following the release of Sec 1 Posting Results. Students only need to report on the first day of school on 3 January (Tuesday).

Purchases of books and uniforms will have to be done prior to the first day of school.

2. How do I purchase books and uniforms for my child/ward?

Purchase of books and uniforms will be carried out online. Please click here for the details.

For students on Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), online purchase will not be applicable. School will contact parents/ guardians/ students upon the successful application of FAS and arrange for collection of books and uniforms.

3. What does my child/ward need to do for the first day of school?

All Secondary One students will report to school by 7.30am in the Regent School Uniform. Students are required to bring along writing materials and water bottle.

We will be having the Secondary One School Orientation for the first week of school (3 – 6 January) for students to better understand the school, thus no textbooks are required. The expected dismissal time on Day One is 1.30pm.

5. My child/ward is not posted to Regent Secondary School. Is there an appeal process?

MOE appreciates the need for an appeals system, to help our students and their families cope with extenuating circumstances such as serious medical conditions or severe physical impairments. Students may appeal to the posted school for a transfer based on these extenuating circumstances after the S1 Posting under Medical Appeal Exercise (MAE). Please note that the deadline for MAE is 12pm, 22 December 2022 (Thursday). Such circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Students who wish to appeal for a school transfer to Regent Secondary School on other grounds may appeal through this link. Do note that appeals are likely to be unsuccessful if they have not met the school’s COP in this year’s S1 Posting or do not present extenuating circumstances. Please note that the deadline for appeal based on other grounds is 12pm, 27 December 2022 (Tuesday). Thank you.

6. Are there financial assistance programmes that I can apply for my child/ward?

The school aims to provide more support for students whose families are in needy situations. Applications for various schemes are open at different times of the year. Singapore Citizens who face financial difficulties may apply for assistance from MOE for their school fees and other expenses. To find out more about the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) and application, you may click on this link.

7. How can I contact the school if I have any enquires?
