Stickers and labels on your PLD
Please reframe from using 3D stickers on the inside of the PLD as the thickness of the stick may cause stress the screen and may eventually crack to the screen.
Use the provided bag for proper transportation of the device. If you do decided to use your own bag, please ensure the PLD is properly protected.
Do not cover or remove the labels given by the school as these labels provide important information for your reference.
Common Technical Problems
Below are common issues faced by your school mates, if you do not find your problem listed below, or have tried the steps and still face problem, please report your issue to us by following the steps below:
Backup all your data (if possible). It is advisable that you perform this step because sometimes in order to fix the issue, we will need to re-install the DMA, which will remove all data on the PLD, however data in MS Team will not be removed.
Shutdown your PLD (if possible).
Bring your PLD and charger to QTSS service desk during operating hours.
Report the problem to the technical staff there, explain and show your problem clearly and provide your class and full name.
We will not be able to fix your device immediately and may have to send to a service center.
Locked out of Chrome
If you see the message shown on the left, please follow the steps below:
Shutdown your PLD.
Bring your PLD to any computer lab (Level 3 or 4) and approach the technical staff there.
If the staff is not there or busy, please come back later.
You will be given instructions to reset and change your student ICON password using the school computer.
After you have successfully changed your password, you will be given instructions to login to your PLD and Chrome.
How to Reset Password
For student ICON password reset (@students.edu.sg), follow the steps below:
Shutdown your PLD.
Bring your PLD to any computer lab (Level 3 or 4) and approach the technical staff there.
If the staff is not there or busy, please come back later.
You will be given instructions to reset and change your student ICON password using the school computer.
After you have successfully changed your password, you will be given instructions to login to your PLD and Chrome.
For MS Team password reset (@qtss.edu.sg), follow the steps below:
Enter user name and sign-in.
When you are prompted for your password, click "
Keep Your PLD Updated
From time to time, backend may send the latest policies and settings to your PLD, if you have not used your PLD for some time, it may not be updated, following the steps below to perform a manual sync:
STEP 1:
Login student’s iCON account
STEP 2:
Open Settings, and then select Accounts
STEP 3:
Select Access work or school, and then click Info under student Icon account.
STEP 4:
Scroll down and click “Sync” button. Wait sync to complete. Repeat these steps for 3 times with 10 minutes in between, then restart the device.
Installing School Apps
Before installing school apps, please follow the above steps to ensure your PLD is updated.
Step 1:
Search for Company Portal in Windows Search Bar.
Step 2:
Click on Apps and look for the Apps that you intend to Install.
Then select the app by clicking the icon.
Step 3:
Click on install and wait for the installation process to complete.
If the installation is taking a long time, please sync your PLD using the steps stated in the above section on “Keep Your PLD Updated”
New WIFI Network pdlp@SSOE2022
Please note the following changes:
With effect from 23 May 2022, the default WIFI network in school for all PLD will be change to pdlp@SSOE2022. If your PLD is not connect to this WIFI network, please connect to it manually and run a sync using the steps stated in "Keep Your PLD Updated"
The old WIFI network pdlp@SSOE will be completely remove from July 2022.
How to check your qtss.edu.sg email?
Step 1:
Visit www.office.com and click Sign-In.
Step 2:
Sign-in using your qtss.edu.sg email and your MS Teams password.
Step 3:
Click on the App Launcher button and then click on Outlook, you will see your emails.
