We understand that birthday celebration is an important day which many children look forward to. However, in view of possible food allergies, we would like to inform parents not to organise birthday celebrations for your child within the school.
These gatherings usually involve food and in some cases, goodies bags (containing food items) distributed to other children. There is also concern that students may start to compare the extent in which these celebrations are carried out, adding unnecessary stress to parents.
Birthday celebrations can still be meaningfully done by singing of birthday song and giving well wishes to the birthday boy or girl. This will bring about stronger student-student relationship which will create a positive schooling experience for your child.
