"From far and near we have come, our hearts and minds to be inspired" - these words from the school song continue to resonate in our alumni, who stand out as beacons of success, each carving their unique path as they embody the growth mindset which the school fostered in them as Vistalites. They demonstrated resilience, adaptability and a can-do spirit in charting their journey of growth. Through challenges and setbacks, they embraced opportunities, turning obstacles into stepping stones and becoming better versions of themselves. These alumni are examples of the transformative power of the growth mindset. They contribute meaningfully in their own ways back to the community. There are indeed many definitions to success!

"Throughout the years in NVTPS, I have been nurtured by many caring teachers and surrounded by many friends. NVTPS has allowed me to build on my academic foundations and instilled numerous moral values in me. From being closely guided by passionate teachers to overcoming adversities with close ones surrounding me, it was a fulfilling experience. NVTPS has provided me with a conducive environment to learn and explore, making me curious about learning. Apart from this, my 3-year journey as a Student Leader in NVTPS has led me to realise the different aspects of leadership and helped me find a leadership style that suits me. The countless projects I partook in while in EXCO have also given me great insights into what working with a team is like, extensively preparing me for my future endeavours in Secondary School. Over six years, I have formed many close-knit bonds with my peers, and we continue to support each other even today. I remember the days in lower primary school when I actively participated in group activities during recess with my classmates and the many memories we forged together. The times I spent with my fellow Vice-Head Prefects have also left a lasting impression on me, whether it was performing our duties together or enjoying ourselves as friends. My relationships with my teachers are also unique - being able to confide in them, being supported by them, and even sharing several joyous occasions with them. My primary school journey as a student of NVTPS has been insightful and has helped shape me into the person I am today. It will continue to help me grow as an individual."

"When I enrolled in Northlight School, I thought it was the end for me. However, my teachers, especially Ms Shannon, the Special Educational Needs Officer, kept encouraging me never to give up and to explore my interests and passions instead. In Northlight, I became a student leader and took on several roles that enhanced my learning. I went on to study at ITE College West and was selected to intern at BMW Singapore. Looking back, I now realise that academic success does not always guarantee success. Our values and life skills are more important. I'm glad I have the support and encouragement from the teachers who have taught me in North Vista. Now, I return to North Vista to give Education Career Guidance to the students and parents considering going to Northlight School after PSLE. I want to inspire those students and convince them that being in Northlight is another pathway for them to acquire new skills to succeed in life.

“I started out playing softball in North Vista Primary School. I also enjoyed writing. Little did I know that the growth mindset, self-directed learning, and the holistic style of teaching in NVTPS would provide me with a good foundation to excel both athletically and academically in Raffles Institution. My teachers whom I remember fondly by name, have played an important role in helping me achieve some goals I never thought possible. Their guidance and support eventually led me to win medals for Singapore at the international sporting arena and gave me the oratory skills to clinch top spots in multiple academic competitions. It is without a doubt that North Vista has imbued in me the love for learning; a lesson that I will carry with me through life.”
