🌐 What is this competition about?
The National Cyber Wellness Competition 2025 is your chance to become a changemaker in the digital world. Last year, we kickstarted the inaugural competition with a focus on combating Fake News. This year, we’re going beyond just fighting fake news but incorporating issues that matter to us all. We're building a Digital Utopia—a positive, safe, and kind online environment for everyone.
Your mission?
Design a powerful poster that educates and inspires others to practise safe, smart, and responsible online behaviour. Choose one of the three focus areas to guide your poster:
🔍 Focus Areas
1. Discerning Fake News
Help your peers:
Learn to spot misleading headlines and deepfakes
Verify sources before sharing
Think critically before clicking “share”
🖌️ Poster Ideas:
Design a “myth vs fact” comparison, or show how fake news spreads—and how to stop it.
2. Safe Gaming Habits
Let’s make gaming fun and respectful by promoting:
Healthy screen time limits
Positive communication and avoiding toxic language
Balance between gaming and real-life priorities
🖌️ Poster Ideas:
Show the impact of gaming addiction or encourage players to support each other with kind language and teamwork.
3. Social Media Safety
Raise awareness on:
The dangers of cyber predators and grooming
The importance of protecting personal data
How to deal with cyberbullying and help others
🖌️ Poster Ideas:
Use storytelling to depict a student standing up to cyberbullying or alerting others to suspicious online behavior.
🖼️ What Makes a Winning Poster?
To stand out, your poster should:
✅ Focus clearly on one of the 3 cyber safety themes
✅ Be original, creative, and visually appealing
✅ Share a meaningful message that can inspire others
✅ Align with the overall vision of a Digital Utopia—a better, safer online space for all
🎨 Poster Design Slogans (Optional)
If you are feeling stuck, try these to get started:
“In my Digital Utopia, everyone online will _______.”
“Don’t get played. Play smart. Stay safe.” (for focus #3 on Gaming Habits)
“Pause before you post.”
“Spot the fake. Stop the spread.”
“Kind clicks, safe screens, better world.”
🏆 What are the prizes?
Winners will not only earn meaningful recognition and prizes—they’ll also have the opportunity to showcase their work nationally and spark meaningful conversations about how young people can lead the way in online safety.
💡 Let’s Build This Together!
Whether you're a digital artist, a content creator, or just passionate about online safety, your ideas matter. Join us in shaping the future of the internet—one poster at a time.
🌱 Let’s build our Digital Utopia. Together.
You can join the competition as an individual or as a group of up to 3. Each option supports different working styles and strengths — it’s totally up to what suits you best!
Individual Submission
Perfect if you like working on your own or already have a strong idea in mind.
This option is great for students who:
Prefer to plan and create independently
Are confident in managing the whole process from start to finish
Want to showcase a personal voice or message
Your entry should show clear thinking, creativity, and originality.
Group Submission (Up to 3 Students)
Great if you enjoy teamwork or want to share the load with others.
This option is great for students who:
Work well in teams or CCAs
Like brainstorming and building on each other’s ideas
Want to combine talents (e.g. design, writing, research)
Team entries often benefit from multiple perspectives and a creative mix of skills.
Q: Will judges be more strict with individuals or groups?
🟢 No — both are judged fairly. The same criteria are used for all entries, but we consider the context (e.g. individual effort vs team collaboration).
Q: Can I do it alone even if my CCA friends are joining as a group?
🟢 Yes! It’s your choice — go with what works best for your style and confidence level.
Q: Can I join more than one group or submit entries for both individual and group categories?
🟢 Yes. You may submit one entry as an individual and one as part of a group. This gives you a chance to explore different creative ideas and working styles. Just make sure each submission is original and not a duplicate.
Create a poster on Canva to educate the ways to spot and tackle fake news.
