Blended learning in KCPSS is about empowering KCPians, to take charge of your learning and to support you to develop self-directed skills through engaged learning in a seamless curriculum between online and face-to-face modality. Blended Learning is part of normalised learning routine, where you learn from home as part of your curriculum at your own pace.
BLENDED LEARNING
Blended Learning@KCPSS
Students will not report to school on that day, but will
check in with form teachers at the start of the day to get ready (via MS Teams),
be inspired by morning message to start the day right (via MS Teams), and
chart their learning based on guidelines provided by subject teachers on subjects assigned for that day.
The table below shows an example of the instructions for subjects on blended learning day.

STUDENT INITIATED LEARNING
Student Initiated Learning
Student-Initiated Learning (SIL) aims to
enable students to exercise agency, explore their interests and passions, and learn within and beyond the curriculum, and
develop students’ intrinsic motivation and nurture self-directed learning
SIL is an integral part of the curriculum at KCPSS. The SIL learning experience of KCPians can be summarized as school initiated, school curated and student initiated across the entire 4 to 5 years in KCPSS.
We adopt the PLAN, LEARN, CELEBRATE approach for SIL
