MOE DMA will be uninstalled from our S4 & 5 students’ iPadOS PLD on 6 Nov 2025 (S4-1 to S4-4) & 20 Nov 2025 (S4-5 to S5-1). Pls refer to Nest portal guide for important actions to be completed before uninstallation of DMA.

Before the MOE DMA uninstallation: Please ensure that all data on students’ PLD & school cloud storage is backed up (e.g. saved on a personal external and/or cloud storage) at least one day before the MOE DMA uninstallation. Data not backed up will not be retrievable in the event of data loss during the factory reset.

A day after the MOE DMA uninstallation (Factory reset): Please ensure that the PLD is switched on and connected to the Internet for the entire day. This is to ensure PLD receives the factory reset command to completely remove the MOE DMA.

Important: Remind students to connect their PLD to a power outlet, or ensure it has at least 50% battery charge, to prevent any issues during the factory reset process.

Students will need to perform a factory reset on his/her PLD if the factory reset command is not received on the MOE DMA installation date. Please refer to the attached guide for instructions on conducting the factory reset and verifying that the MOE DMA has been successfully removed from the PLD.

Student Apple ID

You will still be able to access your school issued Apple ID until 31st December 2025. 

To currently see all data in your iCloud, please open any internet browser on a LAPTOP/DESKTOP, and head over to www.icloud.com and sign in with your Student Apple ID and password. You can head over to iCloud.com and sign in to your Apple ID to pull out any data that had been synced with your iPad. (Photos, Files etc.)

As you are coming to the end of your secondary school term, your Student iCON email address and all data that you have saved there will be removed. Data included in the removal are from:

• Your Student iCON Gmail Account

• Your Student iCON Google Drive Resources

• Your Student iCON Google Classroom Data

IMPORTANT: To ensure that you do not lose your data, please complete your Student iCON takeout and move the data to your personal Gmail address before 31 December 2025.
