Choose Your Fate!
Synopsis:
Choose your fate! This is an educational simulation and quiz where you will be put through many rounds of decision making and choice-making throughout the game that will impact your future. :) Have fun, and choose wisely! Learn about how your choices impact the environment and see how you fare up against your fellow sister Guides and Brownies!
Deliverable: Complete the race and earn the highest points.
Details:
Brownies/Guides will first choose the character they want to be.
They will then be tasked with choices to make throughout their lives. These lifestyle decisions determine the carbon footprint which in turn impact the environment and their future.
Through the game, Brownies/Guides will understand the gender inequality in society, and the environmental problems that plague their daily lives.
Open to:
10 Guide units, 10 Brownie units
5 students per unit
Only the first submission per school will be considered for the competition.

Spruce-A-Bag
Synopsis:
It’s time to get creative! Create a tote bag using recycled materials and use your creativity to decorate it to spread a message about the environment and gender equality. Be bold, be creative and create a bag that YOU would bring around to spread the message.

Synopsis:
In line with the World Thinking Day theme of Our World, Our Future: The Environment and Gender Equality, what is YOUR vision for the world? Unleash your imagination, get those creative juices flowing, and recreate your hopes and dreams for the world in this artistic competition.
Deliverable: An A3 poster

In this competition, Guides/Brownies are to submit ONE poster that embodies the theme “Our World, Our Future: The Environment and Gender Equality”.
Guides/Brownies may use a range of materials such as oil pastels, markers, poster paint and colour pencils.
No late entries will be accepted.

Synopsis:
Get creative and hands-on by designing your very own button badge as a pledge to increase awareness on the World Thinking Day Themes!

Rubrics:
Let's Get Physical!
Synopsis:
Brownies will create and choreograph a simple exercise routine in the form of a Zumba/Aerobics workout that is easy for other girls to follow. The Zumba should use a Girl Guiding song to provide a sense of familiarity and sense of belonging to the movement.
Guides are to come up with their own creative version of the Zumba using the song, “Karibu Kusafari”:

Details:
Brownies are to submit ONE video of a Zumba/Aerobics workout that uses a Girl Guiding song
Guides are to submit ONE video of a Zumba/Aerobics workout using the song Karibu Kusafari. They can dance/zumba either:
a) whole duration of 4.41
Or
b) partial up to about 3.20
No late entries will be accepted.

Let's Scrap Gender Inequality!
Synopsis:
Do you love putting your creativity to the test? Using as many recycled materials as you can find, scrape together a scrapbook that promotes Gender Equality! Submit a scanned copy of your beautiful scrapbooks in the link provided!
Deliverable: A scanned copy of the pages of your scrapbook
Details:
The content of your scrapbook should be based on what gender equality means to you
Only A4 sized paper should be used for the pages of your scrapbook
Your scrapbook should be a minimum of 2 pages and a maximum of 4 pages
Glue, tape, scissors, markers, coloured pencils
Recycled materials - eg. Magazine cutouts, newspaper, fabric
