[030925]: Slay Your SLS: Differentiated Pathways to AI-enabled Teaching
Following the successful run of STLT Professional Learning Session 1 this year, an upcoming session has been scheduled on 10 October 2025, with the aim to deepen geography teachers’ competence to harness AI-enhanced tools more effectively.

Adopting a differentiated approach, participants who are new to the AI-enabled features in SLS will engage in guided, hands-on activities to build confidence in navigating and applying these tools. Those with greater familiarity will collaborate in peer-sharing circles to exchange practices and experiment with more advanced features. The session will also feature a practitioner sharing by teachers from CHIJ Secondary School, who will illustrate how they leveraged SALIS in the teaching of Tourism—deepening student engagement with case studies and supporting the development of writing skills for level descriptor questions. By the end of the session, participants will gain practical strategies for integrating AI functions in SLS to enrich classroom learning experiences and strengthen student outcomes.

Objectives: Participants will
- Build teachers’ confidence in using AI-enhanced tools in SLS
- Foster peer learning and experimentation
- Showcase practical applications and pedagogical considerations in tech-enabled lessons
