As we mark World Ocean Day on 8 June and look ahead to Youth Day on 5 July, this is a timely moment to inspire your students to explore their passions and the possibilities ahead.

OceanX invites your students to dive into the world of ocean careers through two exclusive Classroom Livestreams with Q&A!

About OceanX

OceanX is a non-profit organisation working to unlock the ocean’s sustainable potential. Through a dual focus on science and education, OceanX is building a new paradigm where humanity and the ocean mutually thrive. Its approach is fuelled by exploration, leveraging advanced research, multimedia educational programs, cross-sector partnerships, and advanced technology to help transform how people understand and value the ocean. Its work strives to fortify biodiversity and increase the sustainable use of ocean resources to help ensure the ocean remains a foundation for human wellbeing and potential.

What Your Students Will Gain

The sessions offer valuable education and career guidance by connecting students with professionals who work across ocean-related fields - marine scientists, engineers, technicians, environmental advocates, and storytellers. Students will gain insight into what these careers look like and how their interests today can translate into meaningful work in the ocean space.

As people are increasingly prioritising the value of the ocean in global sustainability, this is a future-ready field worth exploring early. Teachers are also welcome to sign up to better facilitate meaningful conversations with students about possible careers.
