We would like to also find out if more can be done for the various stakeholders and propose solutions to better leverage on these opportunities and not get left behind.
Bargaining is a largely prevalent practice in our Asian societies, and we often see it, especially in casual settings such as our “pasar malam” or the usual wet markets. Today, bargaining has re-emerged in the e-commerce world - from bargaining on Carousell to Facebook Live. Given the enduring nature of bargaining in transactions, we are interested to find out the efficacy of bargaining from a firm perspective.
In our project, we will explore how customer loyalty, satisfaction and transactional utility are involved in bargaining. We aim to investigate how bargaining, as a sales and marketing strategy, affects the likelihood of closing deals through a series of experiments.
