Problem Solvers Using Science
Students learn about the life cycle of plants and the factors that lead to growth of plants. Plants need light for photosynthesis. In vertical farming, our plants are stacked on top of each other in layers, ensuring adequate light penetration to all levels is crucial.
In vertical farming, ensuring proper spacing between plants is essential to prevent overcrowding, which can lead to competition for resources and poor airflow. Adequate air circulation helps prevent diseases and ensures that plants receive sufficient carbon dioxide for photosynthesis.
Students learn about fruits and how to make strawberry jam at the Singapore Science Centre.
Our lower secondary science students investigate and solve a problem using science and technology. They learn about concepts in lower secondary science curriculum by doing research using generative AI, YouTube and the internet to create websites with videos documenting their research problem as well as showcasing their learning.
