What are Observational Studies?

Observation Studies, uses observation (e.g. photos and videos) to study closely a group of users' to try and understand the possible causes of a design situation so that potential design opportunity or solution can be found.

Take at least 4-5 pictures or a 15 seconds video on the problem situation that you are working on.
The pictures are meant to show the user, environment and functionality clearly. Use labels, notes and sketches where appropriate.

How can we learn more about the struggles that students faced when using the PLDs? What photos can we observe/study to find the real problem behind it? Why do the students faced such struggles?
