Chinese Reading Programme
To promote a reading culture in Innova Primary School and allow students to experience the joy that reading brings, our Chinese language teachers not only regularly take students to the library to borrow books but also set up mobile libraries in their own classrooms. The mobile bookshelves are assembled by the teachers themselves. Additionally, teachers select some student reading reports and give small gifts as rewards.

Chinese Text Recitation Competition
The annual Chinese recitation competition has successfully concluded once again this year. Nearly a hundred students from six different grades wholeheartedly recorded their recitation videos and submitted their entries through the SLS platform. After the intense competition in the first round, one-third of the participants stood out and successfully advanced to the next round.
The second round of the competition was held on-site. We invited the parents of the contestants to come and cheer for their children. After a tense and competitive on-site competition, one student from each class emerged as the winner, earning their class the championship in this year's recitation competition.
The students deeply cherish such competition opportunities and thoroughly enjoy the preparation process before the competition, as it provides an excellent opportunity to challenge and improve themselves. After the competition, many students expressed their desire to continue participating in the Chinese recitation competition next year.

Cultural Performance Exposure Scheme 文化随意门
The Cultural Performance Exposure Scheme aims to provide the necessary funding and support to expose students to Chinese language-related cultural performances and programmes. The Chinese name for the scheme means “free gate”, implying that participating schools have the autonomy to arrange their schedules and select suitable cultural performances by local or international performing arts groups in the performance list approved by CPCLL. The scheme allows students more exposure to and appreciation of the Chinese culture, which motivates students’ interest in Chinese culture and the learning of the Chinese language.
On 15 July, Our P4 Chinese Students attended the Mandarin children's play "Monkey Subdues White-Skeleton Demon" presented by the Singapore Chinese Arts Centre at Tampines East Community Club. The students not only had the opportunity to enjoy an excellent performance but also interacted with the actors from the play. After the performance, the students also learned a lot about traditional Chinese opera.
