The orientation programme will be from Tuesday to Friday. 

The orientation programme for our Secondary 1 students will include an Induction programme led by teachers and an Orientation Camp led by our student leaders. 

If students are unable to report to school on the first day due to valid reasons, please contact our General Office (Tel No: 6758 3912) directly to confirm that you are taking up the Sec 1 offer so that we can reserve the place for you. 

The Induction Program will be led by a team of teachers consisting of the Year Heads, Head-of-Departments and Form Teachers. 

Throughout the day, the secondary one students will get to know their Form Teachers, classmates and the expectations required of a CCHY student.

The Secondary 1 Orientation Camp (S1OC) is an internal school-based camp led by our student leaders to welcome our new Sec 1 students into our school.  This camp covers 3 days of orientation, with no overnight stay in school.  

S1OC 2024 has the following objectives: 

• Welcome all Secondary 1s to the Chung Cheng Community 

• Develop a sense of belonging to Chung Cheng and becoming a part of the Chung Cheng community, 中正人 (Pronounced as "zhong zheng ren")

• Provide opportunities for Secondary 1s to be familiar with the physical facilities, resources and where to get help with  administrative and personal matters

• Inform all Secondary 1s about their roles and responsibilities 

• Share the skills and knowledge for navigating through the first academic year 

• Provide opportunities for all Secondary 1s to meet and interact with other students (class, cohort & seniors)

The CCA Carnival would be guided tour for students to get to know more about the various CCAs that CCHY has to offer. 

The CCA Carnival has the following objectives:

• To all students to be acquainted with the various CCAs that CCHY has to offer. 

• To allow for Sec 1 students to explore the various CCAs and thus be able to make an informed decision about their chosen CCA.
