Our Stage. Our Story.

At Bukit Panjang Government High School (BPGHS),  we believe that cultural performances are more than staged presentations — they are living expressions of identity, heritage, and community.

This year, our students took to the stage in two remarkable productions that celebrate Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage. Our Malay students performed Panji Semirang, a classic tale from East Java that follows the brave and spirited Princess Galuh Candra Kirana — a story of trials, truth, and triumph. Alongside them, another group of students presented the youth original Chinese opera Marshal Lim Bo Seng (青春版原创戏曲:《林谋盛元帅》), which brings to life the extraordinary courage and resilience of one of Singapore’s most revered war heroes.

These productions are the culmination of months of dedication. Our students gave countless hours to rehearsals, mastering not just their lines and movements, but the traditions, languages, and histories woven into each performance. What you see here is the result of that commitment — and so much more.
