Our AssumptionKnights have painted these paintings for our fellow guests, in hope of sharing this experience with them, so that they may appreciate the effort and thought that went into creating the artwork. This shared experience can create a sense of connection and solidarity between people, even if they are separated by distance or other barriers.
Please enjoy the Human Fraternity Art Gallery. 😄

This work celebrates the friendship between Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Japan, highlighting how shared values like respect and harmony unite them despite diverse cultures. Singapore's multiculturalism and Japan's discipline and innovation are key threads in this tapestry of friendship. The collaboration emphasizes that cultural differences enrich, rather than divide, these nations, fostering mutual understanding and a shared vision for the future.

We chose the Sakura flowers and the “Vanda Miss Joaqium” orchid flowers on the same side of the respective flags to show the beauty of each country. Sakura means “cherry blossom” which means to bloom/smile/laugh. Orchids symbolise love and beauty. Together in summary, the flowers symbolise happiness, joy and affection. The feelings stated are what is key in having harmony with other people, whether it be strangers or your own friends.

This painting speaks volumes about human connection and unity. In the heart of the canvas, two hands gracefully intertwine, symbolizing solidarity and friendship. Each hand proudly bears the flag of a different country- Singapore, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia which represents the diversity we have. Behind them, iconic landmarks from these nations stand tall. This artwork serves as a powerful reminder of our shared humanity, the beautiful essence of human fraternity.

Two guardians, safekeeping the seas and skies.
For Singapore, the Merlion stands watch over the ports of Singapore.
For indonesia, the great wings of the Garuda envelops the skies, defending Indonesia. Each guardian may have different roles, but their goals are similar, with the goal of harmony and unity within each of their nations.

We wanted to show relationships between both Thailand and Singapore by making it a collage of both countries’ symbols of culture. The abundance of flowers in the painting adds to the theme of bonding through nature with Singapore’s Vanda Miss Joaquim and Thailand’s Cassia Fistula. We also added tried to the fans used in traditional Thai dances and the cultural food vendor boats.

Embracing Harmony.
It shows how even though the Garuda is based in the skies, while the Merlion is based in waters, both are still able to come together and create a bond with one another. This symbolises the harmony between Singapore and Indonesia.

One of my favorite places of interest in Singapore is the Gardens by the Bay. I love the Supertrees and feel that it is a must for all who come to Singapore to feel the great atmosphere there. It is the perfect place to experience what technology can do to enhance nature. Technology also enables us to grow closer and work together beyond the borders of physical lands. We, as youths of our nations, can come together and create many happy memories in this beautiful world.

I hope to express through my artwork the beauty of the world when we are able to make long and lasting friendships. We might be from different lands and have different cultures, but that will not stop us from being friends and working together for a better tomorrow. We have progressed much from the early days. Technology and innovations have made it possible for us to be friends across a borderless world. I am thankful for all that have put aside differences, and focus on the commonality to ensure we continue to build a beautiful world for all through Friend-Ship.

My artwork is inspired by the beauty of nature. I hope to spread the message of treasuring and appreciating the gifts of peace and harmony through joint effort. People from different places come together in friendship and love to help one another to grow and blossom.

I like optical art and have incorporated the style in my work. I am paying homage to the elephant as it is the national animal of Thailand and one of my favorite animals in the world. No matter if one is a mighty elephant or a little bird, we are all capable of spreading the word of love and harmony. No one is too small or young to do what we can for the better of humankind.

The focus of my work is the idea that all can come together across all lands to love one another. We are together in this beautiful world and it is up to us to put in the effort to work towards a better tomorrow for the human fraternity. Together, we are one. We are Love.

The heart takes center-stage in my work to show we must not take friendship for granted. Like looking after plants, we need to put in the love and care to ensure peace and harmony with our friends. It is when people come together that life can blossom and the world can be bright and beautiful.

I am very happy to have the various schools visiting my school. I have created a ribbon of flags to show the borderless nature of the world today. I am proud that my school is a place where many different people can come together to work on making the world a better place for all.
