This artwork features a detailed model of Ai Tong School’s garden, including the iconic red bridge, contained in a "gratitude jar". The scene is crafted from repurposed materials, with the bridge and rock made from old cardboard, and the water and leaves from used plastic bags. A prominent stone in the background bears the inscription "饮水思源", meaning "When you drink water, think of its source". This message serves as a powerful reminder to appreciate our origins and blessings. It conveys the moral lesson of staying true to our roots and authentic selves, even as we achieve success.
Inspired by the animation ‘Up’, this artwork features a miniature model of Ai Tong School lifted by vibrant balloons crafted from recycled plastic bottles and bags. The colourful, varying balloons symbolise the diverse support and opportunities the school offers. The strings represent the strong bonds between the school, students, and community. This piece reflects the school's role in nurturing students, empowering us to grow and achieve greater heights.
My lantern concept is an open book that represents Ai Tong School, where we learn about care, creativity, diligence, harmony, independence, patience, perseverance, respect, responsibility, sincerity and beyond.
The 12-sided illuminated lantern, crafted from reusable satay sticks, papers and other recycled materials. Each side shines with pictures representing Respect, Caring, Environment, Responsibility, Resilience, Knowledge, Learning, Friendship, Trust, Integrity, Collaboration and Growth. These are what Ai Tong School means to me.
Ai Tong is a place where I am able to not only gain knowledge from, but also a place that offers me an opportunity to try out different varieties of healthy food. It is like a food paradise and I always look forward to recess time.
For my lantern, I used a plastic bottle and recycled coffee capsules. The many individual round capsules make a unified tinkling sound when they come together, symbolizing how the ATS community come together as to support and uplift one another .
This represents Ai Tong’s value of unity (同) and perseverance (毅), where everyone’s effort counts.
《爱同相随,如鱼得水》我们在爱同,宛如千姿百态的鱼儿游入宽广包容的大海,每一条鱼都能自在欢愉地成长,追逐属于自己的浪花与梦想。
At Ai Tong, we flourish like fish in water, thriving in an open and nurturing environment where everyone can grow and chase their dreams with ease and joy.
School is a place where we spend the most precious, unforgettable and wonderful years of our life.Teachers plant a seed of knowledge that last us a lifetime. We get to learn, play and make friends. Hence we can grow into an independent adult and be able to face all kind of challenges in life.
This is a creation of a pavilion that we have in the school library. I can enjoy my recess break in the library reading my favourite books!
My school is like a warm, glowing mooncake, bringing diverse people together just as the Mid-Autumn Festival unites families under the full moon. Teachers guide us like stars, nurturing our potential and celebrating our growth. It’s a magical place of learning and friendship that truly shines!
The lantern was designed after a hot air balloon symbolising freedom to learn, adventure and ascend to greater heights. The wicker basket is made with colourful ice-cream sticks akin to Ai Tong adding colours to my life. It was decorated with hearts which represents 与爱同行,展望未来 — 老师无私的爱,朋友的关爱. Ai Tong is also a place where I learn my moral values especially 以诚待人,以毅处事 — to be sincere and truthful and persevere to achieve success.
This is my favourite place in school. This red bridge is an iconic structure in our OEL garden, I love to go up the bridge to admire the koi fishes in the pond.
爱同 is like a rocket that brings me to space and explore beyond my imagination. I take a fun ride in the rocket to explore different areas of learning. The 4 dynamic learners - 爱同活力四宝 come along this ride with me, carrying the values that we uphold in our learning journey, bringing me to greater heights!
This is my lantern. It showcases the OEL garden in the school. I have made the lantern as my friends and l used to play in the OEL garden at recess. I have very fond memories of it.
Ai Tong is like a garden to me because there is a lot of greenery. The stone beside the red bridge engraved with, ‘’饮水思源‘’ means being grateful. I am grateful for Ai Tong, a place that I believe will mould me into a better individual.
In this lantern, our school is surrounded by important characters like the principal, teachers, staff, parent volunteers, and even the iconic rooster! A strong sense of togetherness has existed for years, making our school more than just a place to learn —it’s truly a family!
This lantern represents my school where I learn and meet up with my friends. It is a place we build friendship with one another.
A place to discover interest, passion and fun learning is what Aitong means to me! Aitong is where I form my friendships, build relationships, and create memories. It also plays an important role in shaping who I am, influencing my values, interests, and future aspirations.
