Music: What can I perform?
Vocal Singing
Sing a cover of a song of your choice. (Lyrics should not contain inappropriate or explicit content)
Instrumental Playing
Perform a music piece on your chosen instrument. (Available school instruments include digital piano, ukulele, electronic drums, acoustic/classical guitar)
Art: What can I perform?
Drawings/Paintings
Artist Talk on a series of artworks (at least 5) or time-lapse video showing art-making process.
3D Art
Artist Talk featuring a series of 3D artworks (ceramics, clay, paper sculpture) or time-lapse video showing art-making process.
PE: What can I perform?
Skills
Gymnastics - Series of movement skills (handstand, cartwheel, shoulder stand/partner balance) OR apparatus skills (skipping rope or hula hoop etc.)
Dance - Choreography can incorporate equipment
Juggling - Sports such as badminton, soccer, table tennis or chapteh.
Show & Tell - Presentation talk on the following topics:
Favourite Sport
a. Why are you passionate about the sport
b. Lessons learnt from the sport
c. Interesting facts and examples of the sport
Sporting Idol
a. Who is this person?
b. Why is he/she your idol?
c. What lessons or values did you learn?
d. Interesting facts about this person
Fitness/Health Habits
a. Healthy eating or fitness ideas
b. Personal health or fitness regime
Others
Examples: Martial Arts, Yo-yo
Students can choose their own background music (PE teacher to decide if required)
English: What can I perform?
Storytelling Narration
Choose a story based on a particular storybook and narrate it in an engaging way.
Poetry Recitation
Recite a poem based on a poet or your own in an engaging way.
Persuasive Speech
Deliver a persuasive speech on one of the following topics:
Kindness is Important - share about the impact of being kind to others and why it's important for building a positive and supportive community.
An Inclusive School - share about the importance of creating a welcoming environment at school, where everyone feels included and valued.
Pets are Friends - share the positive aspects of having a pet, discussing responsibility, companionship and the joy they bring.
Having Outdoor Fun - share about the importance of spending more time outdoors to stay healthy, appreciate nature and have fun.
What is the difference between Studio and Stage showcase?
Studio showcase is a recorded video of your performance or presentation which will be published online on the website for streaming.
Suitable for students who prefer performing in a closed setting at their own pace. Recordings will be conducted with teacher assistance in school.
Stage showcase is a live stage performance in front of a live audience.
Suitable for students who prefer performing live on the spot in front of a watching crowd.
Do I need to record my own video for the Studio showcase?
No, you will be recording your performance or presentation with the assistance and mentorship of your subject teacher in school.
How long can my performance be?
Your performance should be between 3-4 minutes maximum.
How do I know if I am selected after registering?
You will be notified by the subject teacher-in-charge of AMKP Kaleidoscope after registration has closed.
