Shortlist Criteria
Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit any existing video recording of themselves doing a speech (during class or CCA sessions).
Video should not be longer than 3 minutes.
Your speech should be about 3 minutes long with 2 well-articulated arguments. There should be a decent understanding of proper intonation, pace and volume displayed. You should also possess a confident demeanour while speaking. There should be a decent logical flow with clear examples and an attempt to use rhetoric to persuade.

Performance Task/Assessment Components
Shortlisted Candidates will need to do the following:
A 5-minutes prepared speech and 3-minut impromptu speech on the day of trial. The topic and instructions will only be given on the day of the trial. Candidates will be given 15 minutes to prepare for their impromptu speech.
Sit for a 15-minute written test on General knowledge.
10-minute interview with the teachers.
Shortlisted applicants will only need to attend the trials on one of the listed days in the schedule.
Tentative trial dates: 22/07, 29/07, 05/08

a) A write up with the following information on the first slide of MS PowerPoint / Google Slides:
Short description about the student on his personality, strengths, interest in Digital Dedia and any future aspirations in this field.
If applicant is a Digital Media CCA member 2023 - 2025.
Key leadership positions in CCA and/or school
If applicant has experience in working on creative projects in school or externally.
If applicant has represented the school/externally in Digital Media-related competitions.
Experience and competency in using media software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro etc.
b) Portfolio of 3 - 5 original works across individual slides using MS PowerPoint / Google Slides (1 work per slide).
Works chosen:
Should be created in the last 3 years and can include works done in school Digital Media lessons / CCA Projects.
Works can also be personal or external creative endeavours.
Can include time-based works (e.g. videos, animations, can be hosted online with link provided in slide).
Should demonstrate a student's creative interests, strengths and qualities such as curiosity, imagination, perception and self-motivation.
E-portfolio can be in Google Slides or PowerPoint or PDF format with the following file-naming convention:

Performance Task/Assessment Components
Take a photograph using the school DSLR on the given theme
Students are given 20 minutes to complete the task within the ACS(BR) school compound
For the photograph, students will be assessed based on mastery of basic photography techniques, composition, content and communication of ideas
Interview (5 to 10 minutes) which will assess student's passion and interest in new media, and the ability to articulate ideas and reflect on their portfolio submissions
Selection trial will be done in a small group setting with an estimated duration of 30 minutes.

Proficient in programming using software such as Lego EV3 classroom, Spike Prime App or equivalent to control a basic competitive robot
Interest in robotics, programming and coding
Exposure in solving real world problems through coding and passion to make a difference to the world around them through the use of technology
Possess the creativity and ability to think on the spot to solve problems
Have consistently taken part in Robotics CCA / enrichment programmes
Have participated in Robotics competitions and won awards
Performance Task/Assessment Components
Complete a theory test on Robotics, Computational Thinking, Debugging and Flowchart
Program a standard EV3/Spike Prime robot to solve a given robotics mission
Program a robot based on a flow chart
Program a robot to demonstrate logical and efficient movement sequences by incorporating sensor inputs
Demonstrate good programming practices and techniques, minimizing program length where possible

Performance Task/Assessment Components
Prepare an excerpt from a solo piece not more than 3 mins for any instrument (e.g. Pipa, Guzheng, Cello, Ruan, etc.)
Prepare to play C, D, G, A, F and B flat major scales on your instrument. 2 octaves, lowest to highest note and highest note back to the lowest note.
Interview with a self introduction, what you can offer to the school via the talent area, your experience with Chinese music and how you intend to fulfill these commitments if you are accepted into the school.
Each audition should not exceed 15 minutes
Please bring along any evidence of your relevant achievements and experiences, if available.

Play expressively with good intonation
Read notes on the treble and/or bass staff

Past experience, passion and interest in Dance
Strengths of candidate (specific genre(s) that candidate is particularly good in)
How candidate could contribute to the Dance CCA if they are accepted into ACS(BR)
