A few definitions

Integers are:

• real numbers in the union of the natural numbers, 0 and the negation of the natural numbers.

• real numbers that are not fractions or decimals.

• real numbers that leave a remainder of 0 when divided by 1.

• whole numbers.

The set of integers is denoted as Z.
