The first session of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) was held on 18 June 2026 at the SK Pulau Sebang Computer Laboratory from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. A total of 20 out of 35 teachers attended the workshop.
The session commenced with a presentation on Project-Based Learning (PBL). The eight steps of PBL were explained, and an ongoing project was showcased to provide teachers with practical insights into the implementation process. The phases of PBL covered included Launch, Build Knowledge, Develop and Critique, and Present and Reflect, enabling participants to understand how each stage contributes to meaningful learning experiences.
A question-and-answer session followed, during which teachers actively engaged in discussions and shared their experiences regarding the implementation and management of PBL in the classroom. This collaborative exchange provided valuable insights and encouraged professional dialogue among participants.
The workshop continued with a session on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education, focusing on the use of Gemini Gems, Gemini Storybook, and NotebookLM. Teachers explored the features and applications of these tools and participated in hands-on activities. Participants also shared their creations and experiences, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Overall, the PLC session provided a valuable platform for teachers to enhance their pedagogical knowledge, strengthen their digital competencies, and promote the effective integration of innovative practices in teaching and learning.
