Watch the videos for Coronavirus: A Book for Children
LeapEd and Nosy Crow are so happy to share this FREE digital eBook in Bahasa Malaysia and English about the Coronavirus (or COVID-19) and the measures taken to control it.
We worked with Nosy Crow to translate the Bahasa Malaysia edition, with updated localised information so it will be easier for the little ones to understand. This eBook is FREE of charge for anyone who wants to read it on a digital device, or if you would like to reduce your child's screen time, we would suggest that you print it out as a book.
This eBook answers key questions in simple language, appropriate for 5 to 9 year old little munchkins:
· What is the coronavirus?
· How do you catch the coronavirus?
· What happens if you catch the coronavirus?
· Why are people worried about catching the coronavirus?
· Is there a cure for the coronavirus?
· Why are some places we normally go to closed?
· What can I do to help?
· What’s going to happen next?
We encourage you to share this beautifully illustrated eBook as widely as possible and to as many children, family members, friends and your network.
The Book is available to download in English and BM for free here:
Aizuddin Ghazali, Penasihat LeapEd di salah sebuah Sekolah Amanah, menunjukkan cara untuk ibu bapa menggunakan buku ini.
Nurul Akmar Abdul Aziz, a Teacher of the Deaf and Reading Specialist, has created this short guide in English for parents who want to use this book effectively with their children.
Storytelling can be a powerful way to share the book with children. We are delighted that Azalia Suhaimi, the Malaysian Poet and Storyteller has created 2 videos for parents to use with the book.
