About Me
About Me
I have spent the past 20 years in FinTech and Web3 innovation, and have been quoted in Reuters, Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek, South China Morning Post, amongst others.
I am a senior advisor and APAC policy lead for the Crypto Council for Innovation (https://cryptoforinnovation.org/), a global alliance of crypto industry leaders with a mission in regulatory advocacy and to demonstrate the transformational promise of digital assets and currencies. In this role I have direct engagements with dozens of global regulators and policymakers to provide insights on industry feedback and policy recommendations, among them the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Financial Stability Board (FSB), Japan Financial Services Agency (JFSA), European Banking Authority (EBA), Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), etc.
Previously I was the CEO of the Algorand Foundation, an MIT-incubated layer-1 blockchain protocol and our team propelled the Algorand network to top-10 by market valuation during my tenure. We worked closely with payment providers and central banks to innovate on global monetary transfers, including being the 3rd most circulated USDC during that time.
Before entering into crypto and blockchain, I spent 10 years and held leadership positions in cloud computing and open source software development companies in partnership with leading Wall Street financial services institutions in New York.
I have an Executive MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
