I am Dr. Kavita Bajirao Ubarhande, an academician, researcher, trainer and finance educator with 15+ years of teaching experience. My professional journey has been driven by a simple belief: education becomes meaningful when knowledge is connected with real-life application, industry needs and social impact.
My academic expertise lies at the intersection of Financial Management, FinTech, Financial Markets, Taxation, Business Analytics and Statistics. I enjoy transforming conventional classroom concepts into practical learning experiences through case studies, simulations, technology-enabled learning, financial games, industry examples and experiential activities.
As a Research Supervisor, I am actively involved in research and mentoring. My research interests include financial performance analysis, green finance, sustainable finance and clean-tech innovation. My scholarly contributions include 12+ research publications, 4 patents and 1 copyright, along with authorship of books on Fundamentals of Research Methodology and FinTech.
My current research project, “Accelerating Clean Tech Innovations: The Role of Green Finance in India’s Sustainable Future,” focuses on exploring how financial mechanisms can accelerate sustainable technological development in India.
I strongly believe that research should move beyond publications and contribute to better decisions, innovative solutions and sustainable development.
Teaching & Faculty Development
Teaching is at the heart of my professional identity. I am particularly interested in innovative pedagogy, financial literacy and technology-enabled education.
As a faculty trainer and Master Trainer for Financial Management under MSFDA, I have had opportunities to contribute to faculty development, orientation programmes, workshops and training initiatives. I also conduct sessions on financial planning, FinTech, financial literacy and contemporary approaches to teaching finance.
Academic Leadership & Institutional Contribution
Along with teaching and research, I actively contribute to institutional development through academic administration and quality initiatives. My responsibilities and contributions have included work related to NBA, NAAC, Finance Committee, Scrutiny Committee, academic coordination, administration and student mentoring.
I believe that academic leadership is not only about managing responsibilities but also about building systems, supporting colleagues, mentoring students and continuously improving educational practices.
