I currently teach 8th grade Social Studies at St. Francis Middle School in St. Francis, Minnesota.

I first learned about the Modern Classrooms Project in 2020 when I Googled "innovative teaching approaches" and "the future of education." I started doing a deep dive into Modern Classrooms. In May 2020, I got approval from my district for the Free Course to count as my Professional Development. The following fall, I implemented in my classroom and shortly thereafter applied to be an Expert Mentor. 

One thing I love about MCP is the buzz it generates, all the way up to the Superintendent! I also get more conversations with my students and have many more meaningful exchanges with them.

When not at school, you can find me playing golf, traveling, cooking, reading, and watching hockey.
