STATE MARCHING BAND ASSESSMENT OCTOBER 21, 2026(UPDATED 10-20)
Students should eat breakfast before arriving at CHS and bring money for lunch.
8:05am - Checkin with your first block class.
8:15am - Report to the band room. Guard start to get ready. Everyone else review choreo in auditorium.
8:45am - Load Trailer
9:15am - Dress into uniform
9:45am - Load buses
10:00am - Depart CHS
10:50am - Arrive at Salem Stadium
11:20pm - Warmup
12:30pm - Perform
2:00pm - Announcement of Ratings
3:15pm - Arrive back at CHS

HOME FOOTBALL GAME OCTOBER 23, 2026 (SENIOR NIGHT)
The Band Boosters will be providing dinner this evening for the entire marching band. Senior recognitions will be after the half time show.
4:30pm - Load Trailer
4:45pm - Dinner
5:10pm - Senior Speeches
5:40pm - Dress into Uniform
6:15pm - March to Stadium
6:50pm - Pregame
7:00pm - Kickoff
8:00pm - Approximate time for Half Time Show
9:30pm - Please pick up your student promptly.

Students should eat lunch before arriving at CHS. Bring money for a concessions dinner.
2:00pm - Hat and Plume Rehearsal

4:30pm - Arrive at WBHS and dress into uniform.
5:30pm - Warm-up
6:15pm - Performance
7:45pm - Awards
9:00pm - Depart for home.
10:00pm- Arrive at CHS

Students need to eat breakfast before arriving at CHS. We will provide a snack before the performance. Students should plan to bring money for concessions for lunch.
9:15am - Hat and Plume Rehearsal
9:45am - Load Trailer and buses
10:30am - Depart CHS
11:30am - Arrive at GWHS
12:45pm - Warm-up
1:30pm - Perform
2:00pm - Awards
3:00pm - Depart GWHS
4:00pm - Arrive at CHS and unload
4:15pm - Please pick up your student promptly.

ATTENTION PARENTS AND STUDENTS!!!!
Be sure to read the band handbook on the Important Documents Page before you sign the online commitment form for marching band.
Marching Band and especially band camp is not a time to diet. Many of our students are exerting themselves just as much as any other sport while out in the sun. Students must eat well, drink plenty of water, and avoid caffeine. So many of the medical issues we have with students stem from them not eating or drinking properly. Please encourage your child to take care of themselves.
