8th grade Trailblazer ELa

About Mrs. Wright:

Hello! I am so excited to learn together this year. Hopefully, this year will be closer to the "normal" we're all used to, but even if not, I know it will be a great year!

I graduated from Western Governor's University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education in 2016. In May of 2021, I graduated from Missouri State University with a Master of Science in Education with a literacy emphasis. Some students may recognize me as a (student) teacher or paraprofessional from Gratz Brown. I worked there for 5 years and student taught there before starting at the middle school. This will be my 6th year teaching middle school, two in special education and four in language arts; all in 8th grade.

I grew up in Chicago, and lived for a few years in South Carolina before settling down in Moberly. My husband Jeff and I have two children: Marcus (25) and Jenna (17). We also have a dog (Koda), and a ferrett (Pancho).

When I'm not teaching, I love watching sports (NBA, NFL, MLB), reading, and making crafts. Of course, I also love to spend time with family and friends.
