I am a life-long resident of Moberly. I began my teaching career in 1979 doing my student teaching at East Park Elementary School (where I attended first through fifth grade). During the 2013-2014 school year, I began teaching the gifted program for Moberly School District. I have previously taught gifted programs in two other school districts with a total of twenty-three years in education. All three of my grown children are Moberly High School alumni (my oldest son participating in the gifted program), and my husband and I were very active parents serving the Moberly School District during their school years.

My role as a teacher is to give children the tools and encourage them to cultivate knowledge. As a teacher of gifted, I strive to create a classroom culture that celebrates intellectual curiosity as well as valuing innovation, creativity, and giftedness.
