About Us

Moat Hall Barns is an independent, family-run wedding and events venue managed by husband and wife team, Amy and Ben. The venue is located on Amy's family farm close to Shrewsbury, which is where she spent her childhood.

The idea of creating a wedding venue at the farm began after they held their own wedding here in 2019, with guests and suppliers commenting on the unique setting; the venue combines original red brick barns, a paddock, a lake and beautiful gardens on a rustic farm, surrounded by stunning views of the Shropshire hills. 

In 2021, they took the plunge and left their careers in Norfolk to focus on the renovation project and to establish the wedding business. The aim was to retain and enhance the character and original features of the barns, whilst minimising its environmental impact. Examples of this are solar-powered underfloor heating, double-glazed solid oak joinery, a reclaimed tile roof and modern insulation.
