Brian Adkins, Owner, is a State Certified General Appraiser who has worked in the appraisal industry full time since June 2002. Starting with Ritter Appraisals, Inc. before working for FCS Financial (Farm Credit Services). During this time his primary focus has been on farm appraisals, along with completing a wide variety of other types of appraisals as well. Working across 10 states and over 20 counties in Missouri. These projects range from small vacant lots to a 45,000+ acre National Wildlife Refuge, highly improved confinement facilities, commercial properties, and some limited residential tracts. Most of the projects completed in other states were written to meet not only USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) but USFLA (Uniform Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions) as well. Working eight years in the lending industry, He has recognized potential appraisal alternatives that most appraisers do not utilize, that might work well for lenders. Conversely, working on government projects has taught him to be thorough in the appraisal process and to not take short cuts, but to write the best appraisal for the intended use. Growing up on a small family cattle farm in Johnson County Missouri, a graduate of the University of Central Missouri, with a degree in Agriculture Education. This prepared him to understand many farm related aspects. Brian and his wife Samantha, along with their son Louis, still live and work on the family farm.
