Through our ELEVATE Professional Learning community, we offer free, live streaming, and collaborative Professional Development workshops.

This session will cover two units: Scene Squad (narrative film--making) and Frame By Frame (stop-motion filmmaking) in which students 3rd-8th grade made various genre films. The session will delve into methods of teaching film-making, film-making education standards, and tips & tricks of the trade.
Alexander Wiley is a filmmaker and educator in Springfield, MO. He started teaching at Phelps Center for Gifted Education in 2019 and taught multiple film-making units to students of various ages. He started his film-making company, Yellow & Black Studios, in 2020; his company works on projects all around the world such as weddings, elopements, engagements, feature-length films, sports, music videos, and personal stories.
