Funding Increases

Minnesota relies on community supervision as an alternative to incarceration, but it hasn’t invested enough in these services. In 2023, after a study by the Justice Reinvestment Initiative, the legislature significantly increased funding for county and tribal supervision agencies and programs that use evidence-based approaches.
