Eligibility:

• Coaches must assess each athlete's readiness for racing

  • First time racers must attend on snow practices prior to racing

  • 10 Practices prior to first competition

• Must attend practice to be eligible to attend races each week.

• Grades must be eligible and assignments up to date to attend races.

• Top 6 SL and Top 6 GS racers attend districts and states. (Doesn't have to be the same 6 in each event)

Equipment:

• MMU provides a GS suit for competitions

• Skis, boots, poles and helmet provided by racer.

• Specific Helmet Guidelines:

  • SL helmet must be worn (must accept a chin guard)

  • GS hard ear helmet must be worn (starting 2017-18 helmet must be FIS approved)
