¡Bienvenidos a Kínder!
Hola familias de Kínder,
Thank you so much for checking out our classroom site! This site is for you to use if your child needs extra support or you find that you would love to incorporate more Spanish at home! Below you will find the SI handbook, the welcome letter to Kínder, and our donation document. At the way bottom, you will also find helpful links that send you to student websites, parent websites, and our district and school websites. Each page located above are additional videos, links, and documents; that are also found within our classroom to help students with their Spanish. The videos I have linked will be used within our classroom and help to teach letters, silabas, silabas trabadas, numbers, color, and so much more!
I hope you find this website helpful and as always please let me know how I can help!
Con Cariño
Sra. Cynthia

¡Nuestro momentos especiales!
About Sra. Cynthia: My name is Cynthia Alers-Rodriguez (Señora Cynthia). I am originally from Colchester Vermont, but have now found residence in Milton Vermont. I am a native Hispanic/Latino from Managua, Nicaragua and Puerto Rico. I have a four year old daughter and one chihuahua dog named Coco! This will be my fourth year in the Spanish immersion program as well as my third year teaching Spanish Immersion at JES. I believe that school should be a place where students are autonomous learners and have a sense of community (familia). Students who become autonomous learners are those who ask questions, work collaboratively, and make observations of the world around them through hands-on learning and lots of play.

Here is our class Twitter page to keep you up to date on the ongoing learning happening in the classroom. Please feel free to follow https://twitter.com/AlersRodriguez
We also have a Spanish Immersion Twitter page where lead teachers and classroom teachers also post to share information within the program and classrooms. https://twitter.com/spanish_vt
Don't have Twitter, totally fine we can keep it old school! We have a community Facebook site. Families can share resources with other families in the Spanish Immersion program at MMUUSD. We hope that the site will become a forum for events, meet-ups, and resources for students, families, and supporters of this program. !Viva la inmersión español! Vermont Spanish Immersion Program
