Helpful Info for Families

ELA: 20 minutes of reading every night, either their independent reading book or book club book if we’re in a reading unit. There is not usually any assigned homework, but notebook work that is not finished in class needs to be completed during study halls or at home.

Math: 20 minutes a night. If you notice your student is consistently spending more than 20 minutes a night on math homework please let us know and we will help them figure out a plan.

Team Journey uses Google Classroom to keep students and families in the loop with school assignments, announcements, and calendar reminders.  Google Classroom updates will let families know what assignments are missing and show posted announcements, and you can log in with your student at any time! 

Select the class, then click on Assignments, and then towards the top left of the assignment stream should be an option to ‘View Your Work.’ Clicking on this will show any missing assignments, as well as grades.  If you have more questions about Guardian Summaries, please click this link.
