About the teacher

The author C.S. Lewis stated that, "the role of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles but to irrigate deserts."   I find this idea to ring very true to my own philosophy as an educator and a parent. Students come to me with various abilities, needs, interests, and talents. It is my foremost job to develop the person they are in all ways possible and to help them to be an integral part of their own mental, emotional, and spiritual growth.  Simply put,  I work to make a student the best version of themselves they can be.

This will be my seventh year teaching at MMR, and my sixteenth year teaching seventh grade!  I am a parishioner of MMR and was married here a long time ago too!  I earned my Bachelors and Masters degrees from LaSalle University and enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, especially at the Jersey shore.
