Virtual Learning Material for 01/20/2022

Hello Parents and Students,

Today is a virtual learning day, due to inclement weather. Below you will find materials for students that would usually attend my class on Thursdays. The material should be able to be completed briefly by students, as to not interfere with their core subject areas.

Thank you,

Mr. Solomon

Pre-K 4 (McNeill)

Today we would have been starting a new unit! Today please introduce your students to the vocabulary (colors) via the video below. Ask your student to identify the colors of some objects around your home today (in spanish)!

Please also have them review the "safari" animals from last unit (seen below). We will be combining this vocabulary this unit to help students form phrases in Spanish.

2nd Grade (Bonsu):

Please have students review some of our current unit vocabulary below. In class we have been practicing prepositions of location/position. I found a video on YouTube that would be helpful for students to get more exposure to those vocabulary words:

Students will use the following word bank to complete the sentences for questions 2-4:

vuela

corre

nada

salta

corren

Sentence starters:

2. Él ___________.

3. El niño ___________.

4. Los niños _________.

4th Grade (Wright):

Please have students complete the work sheet below. Students must listen to the attached audio and circle or color in the corresponding box. Smiling face = Me gusta, Frowining face = No me gusta. If completed on a blank sheet of paper, students can simply write "me gusta" or "no me gusta". Students should be focusing on identifying the phrases "me gusta" and "no me gusta".
