English version of the website was created in November 2024. Google form for membership application has been set up.
This activity group aims to contribute to the development of applied mathematics and society by providing a forum for the presentation of the latest research on geometric shape generation and the mutual exchange of information. We will develop methods for the mechanical analysis of structures and structural optimization, etc., based on the theoretical foundations of differential geometry of surfaces and curves, discrete differential geometry and its generalizations, computational geometry, etc., and construct a theory of geometric shape generation. The results obtained will be implemented as software and deployed in various design fields, such as industrial design, architecture, and shipbuilding. The problems encountered in this process will be fed back to further deepen the theory. In addition to accepting researchers in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, information science, and various design fields as members of the research group, we actively accept researchers from companies in related fields. We provide mathematicians with opportunities to interact with researchers in various applied fields, and we provide researchers in applied fields and industry with opportunities to incorporate the latest mathematical theories, actively promoting industry-academia collaboration.
