My Biography

About Me

I am currently in my 14th year of teaching at Lindhurst High School and my 21st year of teaching in all. My college career consisted of a AA Degree from Yuba College in General Education and a BS Degree in Mathematics with a Business Minor from Upper Iowa University, Cum Laude. While at Yuba College and Upper Iowa University I was a member of the intercollegiate baseball teams. Our 1996 UIU baseball team was Conference Champions, Regional Champions, and NCAA DIII College World Series participants. We ended the year ranked 5th in the Nation in NCAA Division III.

After UIU, I received my teaching credential from Chapman University. My teaching career started in the small northern California town of Greenville, where I also attended high school. While at Greenville High School, I taught Mathematics and Career Tech classes, as well as coached Varsity Football and Varsity Baseball. That is also where I met my lovely wife, Jenna, and we started a family. Three boys later and we were off on a new, exciting, but scary journey.

From Greenville to Lindhurst was the next step in my career. When I first arrived at Lindhurst, I taught in the Math department and coached JV Football and JV Baseball. I then took a few years off to coach my 3 children; Bryce, Kobe, and Ryan, in both youth football and Little League Baseball. I returned to coaching Varsity Baseball at Lindhurst in 2012, and in 2014 we played for the Section Championship. Although we came up a game short, I will never forget those young men that played for me that year. They were resilient; having won more games in the last inning that year than I would ever want to again. The media nicknamed them the "Cardiac Kids" but what stands out to me was how they supported each other and never gave up. They were a family and played for each other.

I am proud to be a Blazer and part of Lindhurst High School.
